The week I saw Florence + Machine live / Sunday Positivity #33

Florence

Ukens takknemlige tanke:

//Something I was grateful for this week:

I’m happy and grateful that it’s nearly Christmas and that I’m soon going home to see my family. The past year I’ve only spent a month in total at home in Northern Norway, and I feel like it’s about time to go back. After this Christmas break I have no idea when I’ll get another chance to go home and I’m dreading that.

Three lovely things that happened this week:

  • After a long day at Uni on Thursday, Kotryna and I took the train to O2 Arena for a night with Florence + Machine. We came early so we had time to stop at Bar One for a few cocktails, then we ate nachos while watching the support act (which was Wet, a band I adore) before the magical Florence came on stage. We danced, sang, hugged, shouted “I Love You” to each other, and teared up when they played South London Forever and Grace. It was the best night in forever.
  • At the beginning of the week, I pushed away all my Uni work and had a real Netflix binge. I have no regrets because I enjoyed hours of the Twilight Saga and the whole season of BBC Drama Pride and Prejudice.
  • I bought a new pair of shoes on sale this Friday that I’ve wanted for months. As a student, you don’t have a lot of money left over for shopping, so it feels so good to finally treat myself to something I’ve really wanted. I’ve already tried out the boots with five different outfits and I can’t wait to waltz around in them (once I’ve learned how to walk in heels… They’re 10 cm and I feel slightly scared of heights when wearing them)

Something I want to do to make next week even better:

Take a bath and read my book. I need to remind myself to take breaks from technology.

  1. Florence + the Machine is so underrated!! Love her <3 // Twilight LOL!! I haven't watched that in forever. I think I read the whole series but only watched the first film; I don't remember too much from it though! I feel like the winter months are a wonderful time to go back and revisit the series you've loved in the past. I'm currently rereading Harry Potter for the first time. The last time I read the series was when I was in middle school!! I already binged the Harry Potter films heh // Sounds like you're getting great wear out of your new boots! It's so satisfying making the most out of what you spend your money on :3 // I need to read more too! I was really good about reading in November, but December has felt chaotic! And it's only the 5th!! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
