Sunday Positivity #29

//I’m slowly creeping out of my bed after a weekend sleeping away a horrible cold. I’m at home from work today because I’m still feeling pretty bad, but luckily I’m slowly feeling better!

Ukens takknemlige tanke:

Strukturere dagene mine litt bedre.

//Something I was grateful for this week:

I’m grateful for all the new opportunities you get when travelling to a whole new place. Life opens new doors and windows the instant you leave the safety of the known behind you.

Three lovely things that happened this week:

  • I made a new friend this week. Alina is from the same city as me, but we’ve never met before. Now that we’re both living in Amsterdam we got the opportunity to hang out, and it’s been so nice! I love how the world shrinks when you go travelling, and you get new opportunities you maybe wouldn’t have taken if you stayed where you were.
  • We went to the Stedelijk Museum and saw the “Drift” exhibition which I was quite impressed by. I love modern art, and I’ve been to the Tate Modern in London enough times to have seen all of it, so it was great to see something new and fresh. Can recommend!
  • I’ve finally gotten into podcasts! You blogger friends know how much you’ve tried to get me to like them, but it’s been a slow process haha. This week it was as if a switch turned itself on, where I listened to several podcasts in a row and loved it! If you have any podcast recommendations, please leave them in the comments, I’m officially on the bandwagon now!

Something I want to do to make next week even better:

Structure my days better. The time flies away and there are so many things I want to do that I never get the time to when I waste the time on other things. I have to get my planner out again and start writing lists!

I'm Martine, a bubbly and talkative twenty-one-year-old who's currently living in London. I love friendly people, sad films, silly movies, photography and blogging. Especially blogging.

  1. Making new friends is such a great feeling! I remember when I used to write my weekly updates, and I could see the process of my budding friendships when I looked back on my blog ^-^ It’s kinda funny to see how close I feel to my friends now, and be able to see how it all started when I look back on my blog! // I love listening to podcasts, especially when in transit or at the end of the day. What kinds do you listen to? // Lists help me so much! I can be pretty intense with my lists and they can get quite long, so now I like to choose three things to put on my list per day, and that really helps with prioritisation and keeps me from feeling overwhelmed 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

    1. Yes, that is so nice! I’ve been blogging all through my teenage years so I’ve seen how friendships and romantic relationships have panned out, and it’s such a strange thing – to be able to go back in the archive and see what I was feeling and thinking at 13 or 17. It’s the best part about blogging, to document your life <3
