Back home in London / Sunday Positivity #32

//I’m back in London. Back to University, back with Herman, back to my friends and back to this flat I call home. It feels good.

Ukens takknemlige tanke:

//Something I was grateful for this week:

This week I’ve been particularly grateful for the friendships I’ve made here in London, and everything those friends give in form of great conversations, wise words, fun moments and just a lot of happiness.

Three lovely things that happened this week:

  • Nadia and I went to an art exhibition by Polly Nor in East London. Nadia was my first friend in London and I’m so happy we’re still sticking together. After a long summer it was so nice to spend time with her again and it was just the best day.
  • It was Herman’s birthday this week (happy bday bb) and we celebrated with a super fun dinner with friends in SHORYO, one of our favourite restaurants. Ramen is just so good.
  • My new friend Jay and I had a taco-dinner-party on Saturday watching Strictly Come Dancing to see how Joe Sugg is doing on the dance floor. It’s so to have made friends who are interested in blogging and YouTube so that now I have someone to chat about it with.

Bonus because it’s been so long since last time I wrote a blog post:

  • The boys I’m living with were all away this weekend so I was all alone and ended up having the best weekend in a long time. I spent all of Friday and Sunday in bed eating comfort food, drinking hot chocolate with whipped cream and watching endless videos on YouTube. I had such a lovely time in my own company and thoroughly enjoyed the fact that I could relax doing nothing.

Something I want to do to make next week even better:

This weekend reminded me how important it is to set aside time for myself and the things I enjoy. From now on I’ll make sure to prioritise it. More time alone for self care and relaxation.

  1. As fun as new adventures are, it’s always a good feeling to come back home to familiarity 🙂 // Happy belated birthday to Herman! // Oh boy, I’m way too good at relaxing and enjoying my own company! Been drinking lots of hot chocolate and tea 🙂 // I have the same IKEA sheets! & I love that wood serving tray. Seems like it’d be really handy for lazy days in bed :3 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
